I hesitated (read procrastination). I contemplated. I meditated. I fumed. What could I say about this upcoming Eclipse that would be helpful and real? I have to admit that after looking at the Eclipse Chart, I thought, "What the hell?” Okay, I may have said worse. Okay, I did say worse. And I thought other things as well. Such as, how do we navigate this radical shift? What themes are most dominant? What is the Spiritual message? If you believe, as I do that we chose to be here, then we have also chosen to live through these crazy times.
Eclipses in general are game changers. They sweep away what no longer works. We may resist and shake our fist at the sky, when these changes occur but they are in keeping with our evolutionary intent. This will be watery thin consolation at the time, or sound like some kind of Spiritual spin but these changes do take us to higher ground. They take us to purpose. Eclipses also bring into sudden and shocking focus what really does need to shift. They also accelerate, at warp speed, what is already in the Cosmic playbook. In other words, we have long Planetary cycles that highlight major changes. Eclipses shine a sharp clear light on these Global and personal shifts.
This Eclipse Chart is complex, with competing patterns of crackling energy. Earthquakes, revolutions, disruptions to energy supplies and a hit to stock markets are to be expected. Crisis du jour? Yes, it will be one of those times. But babies will be born and people will continue to fall in love. And there are great, wondrous miracles and Spiritual lessons to witness and embrace.

The Fanatic/The Bully - Jupiter opposes Pluto
We have seen various versions of the fanatic and the bully. They usually are authorities on religion and politics. And, they usually want to blow things up and/ or take over country or two. This pattern(Jupiter opposite Pluto) exaggerates the need to control and amplifies their ,'Big I am.' Sounds bad, right? Yes. It will intensify and push us to the edge. We have been there before. This pattern will, undoubtedly produce more bullies and fanatics. You could find them in your home, workplace or among your friends. Be brave and confront them. Are you reading quickly, scanning for some glimmer of hope? No worries. We will not go over the edge. And exposure is another Lunar Eclipse theme.
The Big Exposure - Pluto in the Global 10th House.
Or, we could call it,'The Big Reveal.' Pluto is a biggie. Its job or mission is to transform. We hear this word a lot. But until we are actually going through an honest, down in the dark, cold cave trans-formative process, it is a tossed about, airy concept. The 10th House is the House of leaders. You, me and the world are moving through a period of transforming our concept of leader. Pluto enjoys exposing. The more taboo, the better. Pluto will expose any and all murky doings of leaders for the next 10 years but this Eclipse will speed up this process.
Absolutes - South Node in Aries. Mercury in Aries.
Two things are true about absolutes. They are simple. We like them. The Eclipse will demonstrate that there are no absolutes. There is no, me versus you. There is no, us versus them. If you want to ride the high wave, you must consider the other. One of the Spiritual directives is to look for solutions and to cultivate relationships. This will be easier said than done as our natural inclination during this time will be to stand alone.
I/Me - Mercury in Aries conjunct Uranus in Aries
Staying firming attached to what you believe to be true will add to anxiety. This pattern challenges our opinions, biases and all our 'I knows.' Belief systems will be tossed about. and that is a good thing. To move forward in our personal evolution, it is Spiritually healthy to examine our beliefs. There will be a strong attachment to rightness. But this pattern will also give birth to brilliant insights and inventions.
Financial - Saturn in Scorpio-8 house
Yes, there will be some unease to the stock market but it is another institution that is part of a longer cycle. This longer cycle includes a dismantling of systems that no longer serve our purpose. Our purpose? Ethical, sustainable investments, clear and clean of corruption.
Disasters - Eclipses
It took awhile for me to truly believe that there was any correlation between Eclipses and Earthquakes. However, after studying Eclipses over an extended period of time, I have little doubt. Expect the next 6 months to be especially active. Wild, fierce weather will be more prevalent than usual. The Aries energy tells us to be smart survivors and prepare.
Gender Equality - Ceres conjunct Vesta.
Former US President Jimmy Carter has identified the abuse of women to be the biggest Global crisis. I agree. This pattern will bring this front and centre. Gender equality in all areas of life is not a luxury. It is imperative that we move, and move quickly to create a more egalitarian society. We have lost and will continue to lose until we make strong moves in this direction. And, yes I cannot believe we still have to have this conversation! Any 'versus' attitude, though will only entrench pre-existing attitudes on both sides. Invite. Inform. Look for opportunities to create alliances.
Disruptions - Grand Cross
Try hard to be flexible. Try hard not to try hard. Find ground. Practice yoga, meditation, walking in the woods, running...We, as a world community will be running from one crisis to another.
Spiritual Message - North Node in Libra-Seventh House
Our first instinct will be to go it alone. The lone warrior instinct will kick in. Shoo her or him out the door. Look for co-operation. Look to co-operate. Look for support. Look to be supportive. We do not walk through life without others.
It Could be Worse - Jupiter direct in Cancer.
Although, Jupiter, the Planet of expansion, abundance, will be held down by Pluto, it will still bestow its blessings.
