Mars is going rogue!

Mars, the Planet that motivates, energizes and triggers anger and aggression, is going rogue! Beginning May15-June30th, Mars will leave the authority of the Sun and travel beyond its boundaries. This is a wild one..!

Mars begins his 'out of bound' trip through the Sign of Gemini(until June4) and then takes his wildness into Cancer.

Waaay back in 1976, the movie,'Network,'gave us the line," I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it any longer.' This, my friends is a rather perfect line for this unusual Mars cycle. Lots of folks will simply leave, walk away. It may be a work situation, toxic friendship, family or relationships.
Yes, we will see anger rise. In the Sign of Gemini, road rage, sharper words and more unfortunate, neurotic ways of expressing Mars energy but we will see lots of innovation.

This Mars will embolden and empower those who may have been stuck or felt dis-empowered. People, who usually would not take or initiate bold actions/ changes will do so.
Aries, Gemini and Cancer are the headliners in this cycle.

Whew...what a Full Moon!

Whew..what a Full Moon! Scorpio reigns over politics, scandals, security forces, sex and, of course much, much more..But, it is usual for some significant scandal to erupt when Moon is in this Sign. And, when She-the Moon-is very Full..well..!

In Canada, we had a Senator resign yesterday but as usual the hyper-state of the U.S. trumped all.
It is incredibly sad, reads like a Greek/Roman Myth of Gods/ Goddesses behaving badly, and should have all scared that a leader of the most militarized country in the world, behaves in such a contemptuous, arrogant and authoritarian manner.

Mercury(mind) in the U.S. Chart is @25 degrees in Cancer. Uranus(anxiety, shock, liberation) is making a difficult connection to this Mercury. If you or I had this, we would be experiencing psychological shocks, dramatic shifts in perception, increased mental anxiety and more..This will continue all of this year..so there will be more shock and awe..

There is much more but lots of Astrologers are waiting and watching for transiting Saturn's conjunct to D.T.'s Natal Moon and opposition to his Sun this summer. Add to this, Eclipses in August, with the first one challenging the 'Right to Reign' pattern in his Chart. Translation? information will come to light that will mark the beginning of the end to this madness. This is a pattern, where he hits a wall.

The Alchemist's Full Moon

We crave dark mysteries, ancient myths that make sense of our human stories. We may sense the numinous as we feel the seductive force of the Moon Scorpio to travel through dark memories, feelings of loss, betrayal, resentment, self-loathing and bitter endings. The process is mysterious. We descend to transcend.
We release and find our natural state of being.Love.
Each of us are capable of being Alchemists during this Full Moon, liberating our Spiritual selves from the bondage of ego fears.
Pluto, the Planet of transformation rules the Scorpio Moon and is in good standing with the Sun and Moon, empowering us to move forward. This pattern is encoded with old Spiritual wisdoms. Listen. Feel.
Mercury(communication) and Uranus(awakener/ anxiety) join to, either speed up our speedy minds or offer break-through insights that shift our perspective.
Jupiter and Pallas Athene are at odds and pose the question:relax or rebel? Is there a cause bigger than you where you will pick up the sword?

Moon in Libra!

Do you remember when you were a child and was warned to be your most polite, courteous, kind best self? Or, perhaps this was last week? And, you really did not feel like it? Welcome to today's Libra Moon!
When the Moon is in Libra, we are encouraged to relate nicely to others but today the Moon makes some harsh connections to Mercury,(miscommunications) and to Uranus(abrupt mood changes, increased irritations).
Sun and Pluto form a trine aspect over the next few days,supporting concentrated efforts to move forward. This celestial pattern fosters resilience; a quality that is underappreciated but so essential!
We are in a Full Moon cycle, with the Moon presenting herself in all her dramatic, glorious self on May10@6:16pm(local time/lat./long.). All Full Moon cycles amplify emotions, dreams, intuitions and realizations.

A Virgo Moon

A wee bit earlier our sensible Moon Virgo was opposite floaty but inspirational Neptune, carrying dueling desires. Drift and dream or attend to duties and routines. Issues and concerns that fall under the light of a Virgo Moon center on health, work and environment. Moon slipped into this earthy, changeable Sign yesterday@6:26am and will work her way through until May6@3:20pm. For the remainder of the day, Moon makes some solid connections to the Sun and Pluto, supporting plans and application of ideas..progress!

Just before She-the Moon- moves out of Virgo, tomorrow afternoon she meets up with an on-going pattern that activates old wounds that may seem resistant, stuck, stubborn etc. Acknowledge the emotion. And when the Moon moves into Libra on May6@3:20pm (until May9@2:00am) we can gently relate to our inner/outer storms. Bless our Libra Moon! She inspires the singer, writer, painter and the dancer. Even though our personal evolution requires a revolution form time to time, this Moon sings us home to gentle hearts!

Mercury: Our Winged Messenger

Our Winged Messenger, Mercury is now flying a little straighter. He came out of retrograde yesterday, although is now in a shadow cycle until May21st. Communications will flow better and it is a good cycle to move forward with plans!

Vesta in the Sign of Leo

I love the word,'hubris.' Its Greek origin includes the idea of excessive pride being the downfall of the tragic hero/heroine, incurring the wrath of the Gods and Goddesses by acting above them. Vesta's entry into the Sign of Leo(fr. May2-July17th) speaks to this. We will hear stories of those who through their own arrogance and pride lose their place among the stars.

Vesta is the Goddess of the hearth but she represents both the 'sacred whore' and the chaste virgin. Sexual repression and sexual problems come under her watch. Vesta also rules over small spaces, shrines, altars and much more. If you have a shrine/altar, add bright colors and fire symbols. Vesta is also about intense focus and integration. While this Goddess moves through playful, creative and passionate Leo, our focus intensifies with any/all creative projects.

We can learn about integrating our heart needs with our duties. She-Vesta is sacred fire!
Honor and invite this Leo Vesta by committing to heart-play and creativity. Light a fire. Just keep a good check on that hubris!

Dragons In The House

We have a few Dragons in the house; mind you they are not tamed and we have no interest in taming them now or ever. We like their fiery fierceness. Yesterday I took a few pis of my favorites to honor the passage of the Nodes from Virgo/Pisces to Leo/Aquarius.

They will travel through Leo/Aquarius until Nov./2018, showing us where we can stuck in the muck and what areas of life/world can be transcended by practicing the qualities of the North Node.

These Nodes are points in space where the Moon crosses the Ecliptic. The North Node is ascending and is called, the Dragons Head and the South Node is descending and is called the Dragons tail. In Sanskrit, they are called,"chaya grahas", which means, Shadow Planets.

Together they form an axis of destiny and point to your life purpose. The Sign your South Node falls (ie. Gemini or Libra etc.) and the House(area of life expression/experience) reveals talents, gifts that you have accumulated over many life-times. But, it is also where your habitual patterns are found and where we can feel trapped etc. The North Node is encoded with our 'Soul's' purpose. It's essence is the aspirational you! There is much more to these Nodes and they make-up a good part of my,'Transcend' and 'Release and Reveal' workshops.

I could fill a few pages of wiggley air-words- of how we have not really worked well with the past Virgo/Pisces Nodes but let's look at our current Dragon.

South Node Aquarius is encoded with brilliance. Okay, so that's good. Right? Yes, but we will have to be mindful that we do not crown the brain/intellect and forget Heart. The South Node Aquarius works well in groups. Good again, right? Yes, but we have to be careful we do not fall into a great, big heap of 'group think.'

The South Node has its gifts but it is also a trap. It is very compelling and once in the energy of the South Node, it can be challenging to pull out. We take the gifts of South Node Aquarius: group co-operation, social/global minded, science and we take it straight to the Dragon's head, the North Node in Leo. Heart, play, taking risks, treating everyone with dignity, acting with a sense of pride, nobility.
Yes, we run the risk of emotional detachment and an over-concern with brain at expense of heart. Yes, during these times it may be really hard to maintain and grow Heart but the North Node has a promise. Lead with a play-full heart and you will align with purpose. Life will be easier and you may find this Dragon has been hiding some fascinating treasures!
